From Buddha to Kiwi

After a few wonderful sunny days with 28 degrees in Hong Kong, where we visited the biggest outdoor Buddha, Ocean Park, a nice night market and bought lots of souvenirs in a market in the Stanley district, New Zealand is cool in more then one way. It's not only a pleasent easygoing country but also about 20 degrees colder then the places I've been in the last 4,5 months. So the seach for warm gloves has started ;)
We are now in Christchurch, the biggest city on the South Island and from tomorrow we'll be travelling by camper to the southeast and then the southwest of the Island from where we travel north to cross over to the North (and warmer :)) Island in the beginning of June. On the South Island we are going to see the highest mountain of New Zealand, Mt. Cook, glowworm caves, the fjords and the vineyards in Marlborough Sounds (and ofcourse taste some wine ;)).
So lots of plans and little time to do all those things. Next time a road-report!

Zo te lezen, is Hong Kong jullie goed bevallen. Ik ben benieuwd naar jullie verhalen over Nieuw Zeeland.Qua temperatuur zou ik liever ergens anders zijn, maar na al die maanden van warmte voor jou, bevalt dit weertype jou misschien wel....alhoewel, zoeken naar warme handschoenen....

Ik heb alle up-dates weer gelezen. Esther verteld me het één en ander en bracht me zo weer op het idee om je site te checken. Leuk hoor al je belevenissen. En dan nu eindelijk "samen", dat moet toch wel bijzonder zijn na al die maanden. Veel plezier met elkaar geniet van het prachtige land.( Een kennis van mij vertelde mij er veel over, zij heeft er nl. 20jr. gewoond). groetjes anneke -

Hello Vanessa, Innu asks me all the time about you. Maybe because he misses you or because now he can't speak about the royalities of Europe anymore...:-) I am in a Cyber cafe at gulshan 2, as the garment workers are striking and it would be too dangerous for me to go to work...
